Summary
The Digital Electrical Controls Hardware Manager is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of electrical control systems for our DCMS, "Sea" products and new innovative controls. This role involves managing a team of engineers and technicians, overseeing project timelines, and ensuring that all electrical control systems meet industry standards and customer requirements. The manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and maintain the highest quality standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and manage high level roadmaps for electrical control hardware products based on latest commercially available equipment, strategic guidance from product owners, and emerging market trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product line, software & engineering, sales, and customer support, to ensure alignment and execution of product strategies.
- Oversee capacity planning, ensuring optimal resource allocation across projects and operations.
- Identify and implement training programs in coordination with Chief Engineer's office to support skill development and technical competency.
- Lead performance reviews, goal setting, and career development planning for team members to ensure a high-performance environment.
- Act as the primary point of contact with product owners and key stakeholders to ensure alignment and clear communication. Gather and relay insights and feedback, providing valuable input to product owners to drive improvements and future development.
- Ensure that quality and safety standards are upheld within all stages of product development and team training.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing metrics, identifying gaps, and implementing best practices throughout product lifecycle.
Skills and Abilities:
- Leadership experience, with a background in personnel management, team development, or capacity planning.
- Excellent communication skills in Portuguese and English (Advanced).
- Ability to work cross-functionally with various teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in building and executing product roadmaps, managing timelines, and delivering strategic objectives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Electrical Engineering degree from an accredited university
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in oil and gas, industrial machinery on other businesses focused on PLC controls.
