We're looking for a Production Material Senior Planner to take ownership of our raw material planning process, ensuring timely, cost-effective procurement and availability of essential materials like steel, copper, and insulation. This is a high-impact role that sits at the heart of our manufacturing operations.
What You'll Do:
- Develop and execute raw material planning strategies aligned with production forecasts.
- Analyze BOMs, production plans, and inventory data to determine material needs.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels—avoiding both shortages and excess.
- Partner with procurement to ensure timely supplier deliveries.
- Evaluate supplier performance and support sourcing decisions.
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams for efficient material handling.
- Mitigate risks related to material availability, quality, and lead times.
- Drive continuous improvement in planning and supply chain processes.
- Use ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) to plan, track, and report.
- Prepare and present KPIs and performance reports.
- Manage import/export documentation and compliance.
- Oversee logistics and transportation of goods from origin to destination.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in material planning or supply chain roles.
- Strong grasp of production planning, inventory control, and procurement.
- ERP system proficiency and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the heavy metal industry.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and JIT principles.
- Familiarity with international sourcing and logistics.
