Why this job mattersThe Paralegal provides paralegal services in supporting the Group's commercial law and specialist Legal team.
What you'll be doing- Undertakes the drafting and / or legal review of materials related to entities in the region including formation documents, board and shareholder meeting documentation, and other compliance documentation.
- Supports with Board / personnel changes, business license renewals / registrations, and powers of attorney, taking into account business continuity, personnel and tax considerations.
- Coordinates with members of the regional and global Finance teams to ensure entity compliance with local financial statement requirements, including the creation and maintenance of annual compliance calendars.
- Supports maintenance of the legal team's paper and electronic filing systems, with full responsibility for managing the archiving process, including legal entity records and minute books.
- Responds to queries from the business in a proactive, helpful, timely and professional manner, including the provision of powers of attorney and various corporate governance requests.
- Supports the completion of complex transactions involving a large number of parties.
- Supports liaising with external counsel / Group secretaries.
- Supports in the implementation of ways to improve working processes within the Legal function.
