This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Legal Counsel - REMOTE. In this role, you will provide essential legal and regulatory support for international operations, focusing primarily on compliance with Swiss financial regulations and broader crypto and fintech environments. Your expertise will ensure that the organization navigates complex legal landscapes effectively. You will work closely with commercial and governance teams, balancing risk management with business objectives. Your contributions will have a significant impact on internal governance and regulatory readiness across various jurisdictions.

Accountabilities
  • Draft, review, and negotiate critical agreements, including grant agreements and service level agreements.
  • Support commercial teams by providing legally sound and business-oriented solutions.
  • Advise on Swiss and international crypto, fintech, and financial regulations.
  • Manage compliance with SRO memberships and AML regulations.
  • Develop and maintain internal compliance policies.
  • Liaise with regulators and external legal advisors.
  • Support internal governance frameworks and assess legal risks.
  • Contribute to audit and internal control processes.
  • Conduct regulatory research and provide internal guidance.
  • Manage external legal counsel and stay updated on regulatory developments.
Requirements
  • Law degree and bar admission in Switzerland or an equivalent European jurisdiction.
  • Minimum 5-6 years of post-qualification experience in financial services, fintech, or crypto.
  • Proven expertise in Swiss financial and crypto regulation.
  • Experience with structured internal control systems in audited companies.
  • Familiarity with data privacy, contract law, and governance frameworks.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Experience managing external counsel and regulatory relationships.
  • Experience in the financial data industry is an advantage.
  • Understanding of the legal structure of financial data is a plus.
