Position Overview

The Chief Sales Officer (CSO) will serve as a key member of Poloniex's executive leadership team, responsible for driving the company's global sales vision, strategy, and revenue growth. This executive will oversee all aspects of sales, including institutional business development, corporate partnerships, and retail customer acquisition. The Chief Strategy Officer will play a central role in positioning Poloniex as a top global exchange and building long-term customer relationships to support its adoption and expansion within the digital asset economy.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership and Strategy

Develop and execute Poloniex's global sales strategy aligned with company goals.

Set revenue targets, key performance indicators (KPIs), and sales performance frameworks for multiple regions and client segments.

Drive adoption of Poloniex's trading services across retail, institutional, and partner channels.

Institutional and Enterprise Growth

Build and strengthen relationships with institutional investors, market makers, hedge funds, and corporate clients.

Negotiate and close high-value strategic partnerships and commercial agreements.

Provide tailored sales solutions to maximize client outcomes and strengthen Poloniex's market position.

Retail and Partner Development

Lead initiatives to expand Poloniex's retail user base through innovative acquisition and retention programs.

Work with the Marketing and Product teams to enhance customer experience and engagement.

Expand Poloniex's global reach by building alliances with payment providers, financial institutions, and ecosystem participants.

Team Leadership and Development

Build, coach, and lead a high-performing global sales team.

Foster a culture of strong accountability, innovation, and customer-centric execution.

Provide training, mentoring, and resources to maximize team performance.

Executive Collaboration

Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and senior management team on all revenue-related matters.

Report regularly to the Board on sales performance, pipeline health, and market opportunities.

Represent Poloniex as a thought leader at global blockchain and fintech events.

Qualifications

20+ years of sales and business development leadership experience, including at least 7 years in senior management positions.

Proven track record of driving revenue growth in the fintech, financial services, or blockchain/cryptocurrency exchange sectors.

Expertise in institutional sales, strategic partnerships, and enterprise account management.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Proven ability to lead and grow a distributed global sales team.

A bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field is required; an MBA or higher is preferred.

Fluent English; proficiency in other languages ​​is a plus.
