Roles and Responsibilities
- Define supplier strategy including management and optimization of supplier panels. Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers. Negotiate terms and conditions and transmit information to Procurement. Manage claims. Includes commercial sourcing management such as data analysis, negotiations support, etc. This may also include purchasing activities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement sourcing strategies for the Professional Services HR Services (Total Rewards and HR Operations), ensuring alignment to business objectives.
- Commodity Playbook creation and maintenance, aligned with Stakeholder's evolving need and market conditions.
- Lean focus prioritizing Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost – uncompromised and in that order. Utilize Lean for continuous improvement in SQDC.
- Coordinate, execute and lead the stakeholder through the end-to-end sourcing process: strategy development, market analysis, negotiation (RFXs), supplier selection, contract creation, and buy channel/preferred supplier management.
- Negotiate with suppliers and strategic partners to achieve the best contractual conditions and outcomes for GE Vernova.
- Ability to execute contracts for GEV, align with legal team, deviation matrix, data privacy, cyber security and the AI Council. And compliant to GE Vernova's POA and DOA policies.
- Utilize industry trends to inform decision-making processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder strategies.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to multi-functional stakeholder teams within the HR function to design and implement specific strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Drive execution of strategic activities related to GE Vernova's transition and transformation.
- Work collaboratively with your peers in the HR Services Team, as well as the broader PSP, Indirect Sourcing Team, Legal services team, and Buy Desk teams
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in Sourcing, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or related functions.
- Demonstrated ability to execute sourcing strategies
- Demonstrated ability in leading organizational, process, and culture change.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence in a matrixed organization.
- Excellent communication, negotiating, and influencing skills at all levels of the organization and with external organizations.
- Demonstrated customer focus and change-oriented mindset.
- For roles not in the USA, significant experience comparable to a Bachelor's degree or a high school diploma with relevant experience is required. For roles in the USA, a Bachelor's degree or a high school diploma/GED with at least 7 years of experience in the job family group/function is required.
Desired Characteristics
- MBA or Bachelor's degree in Sourcing, Operations, or Supply Chain Management.
- Category Management, Contract Management, and Sourcing experience in a multi-national company.
- Track record of driving step-change improvement in Sourcing or similar function with a focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost savings.
- Strong analytical skills (Spend analytics, should-cost analysis, market R&I).
- Strong experience in Procurement processes and system integration projects.
- Comfortable with a broad range of research tools and technologies, analytics, and financial analysis.
- Strong project management skills.
- Thought leader with experience in external benchmarking to drive process improvements focused on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost savings.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills.
