The Role

We're looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join our Managed Services Operations team, helping us operate, evolve, and continuously improve the digital platforms of our clients.

• Set up, operate, maintain, and continuously improve cloud-native environments and production systems across multiple client accounts.

• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation) and automation scripts (Bash, PowerShell, Python) to support deployment, maintenance, and incident remediation across multi-cloud environ-ments.

• Improve CI/CD pipelines, observability stacks, and reliability automation to reduce manual toil and mean time to recovery (MTTR).

• Partner with Service Managers and Engineers to support application modernization, cost optimization, and continuous service improvement aligned to Zühlke's "Protect, Evolve, Transform" managed services framework.

• At least 3 years of (Cloud) infrastructure or software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in DevOps or SRE roles.

• Operational mindset with hands-on experience in on-call rotations, incident management, and reliability engi-neering. You understand automation vs. toil, capacity planning, and the value of proactive monitoring. Calm un-der pressure and driven by measurable improvement.

• Deep experience with Cloud platforms (AWS or Azure preferred) and Kubernetes. Proficiency with IaC tools (e.g. Terraform, Pulumi, ARM, CloudFormation). Practical knowledge of observability stacks (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Elastic, Azure Monitor).

• Strong understanding of SRE principles: SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, postmortems, and incident response practices.

• Experience maintaining or improving CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps), integrating security and compliance controls. Solid software engineering background that enables effective collaboration with developers and understanding of system dependencies (e.g., Java, .NET, or Python).

• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
