The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme promotes volunteerism as a driver for peace and development. In Brazil, the UNV Field Unit partners with UN Agencies to deploy qualified UN Volunteers and ensure strong client-service delivery. Hosted within UNDP, the Client Engagement Assistant will enhance UN partnerships, support volunteer mobilization, and contribute to a positive volunteer experience. This 12-month national assignment (with possible extension) is based in Brasilia.

What You Will Do:

Partnerships & Client Engagement

  • Manage relationships with priority UN entities and promote UNV solutions.
  • Identify volunteer opportunities and draft Descriptions of Assignment.
  • Support tailored offers, advocacy campaigns, mapping, and presentations.
  • Document partner intelligence in the CRM and promote Online Volunteering.

Volunteer Experience & Duty of Care

  • Support onboarding and provide ongoing guidance throughout the volunteer cycle.
  • Respond to inquiries, gather feedback, and coordinate appreciation activities.
  • Liaise with security focal points and assist with duty-of-care procedures.
  • Ensure continuity of Field Unit operations during peak periods or absences.

Apply If You Meet These Requirements:

  • Minimum
    3 years of experience
    in partnerships, client service, advocacy, development or volunteer engagement.
  • Technical/vocational diploma (or high school + 2 additional years).
  • Strong skills in MS Office, presentations, reporting; CRM/ticketing tools an asset.
  • Languages:
    Portuguese (Fluent), English (Fluent), Spanish (Working knowledge).
