Job Description

We are seeking a smart, self-motivated, and well-rounded Quality Assurance Analyst who excels at solving problems, identifying defects, and possesses a quality-first mindset. This position is crucial for maintaining the high quality of Callyo's mission-critical software and systems.

The Mid-Level QA Analyst will work embedded in a Scrum team. You will collaborate closely with other Quality Assurance Analysts and Software Automation Engineers to ensure consistency in manual testing efforts and identify candidates for automation to maximize test coverage. You must be adept at quickly learning new technologies.

Key activities involve the design, development, analysis, and maintenance of Automated Test Scripts, system integration tests of software and hardware, and assistance in resolving customer reported field issues on live production systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, document, and perform manual tests for software and hardware products.

• Identify, reproduce, and report actual or potential product defects, providing detailed configuration and reproduction steps for defect tracking.

• Analyze and troubleshoot results during test execution to ensure correct functionality and user experience.

• Use automation to provide Functional, Regression and Integration Testing, defect tracking, and resolution, and assistance for User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Write clear and concise test cases.

• Perform exploratory testing of products.

• Document and follow up on all encountered bugs/issues during the triage process.

• Collaborate with various teams to identify the impacts of test requirements and improve the overall quality of the final deliverables.

• Help establish, document, and enforce standards, procedures, and specifications for manual testing.

• Assist in the diagnosis and replication of product failures.

• Work with support to resolve customer issues as needed.

• Ensure that the final product satisfies the product requirements and meets end-user expectations.

Basic Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/IT or related field.

Experience: 4+ years of QA experience,working with large and complex software in a professional context.

Technical Skills

• Experience designing, documenting and executing manual test cases.

• Exposure to quality assurance testing tools like Testrails.

• Knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior driven development (BDD).

• Understanding of Agile methodology.

General Skills

• Strong communication skills and ability to work with various roles inside of the organization.

• Ability to troubleshoot and strong systematic approach to problem-solving.

• Be able to communicate effectively in English (read, write and speak).

• Great attitude and always willing to continually improve the product.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience in programming languages such as PHP, TypeScript, Javascript.

• Experience with Test Automation, using testing frameworks such as Robot Framework, JMeter.

• Experience with database testing including designing and manipulating test data.
