As part of the Data Management (DM) team in Latin America, you will be responsible for collection and management of data used for Analytical purposes. You will ensure data is consistent and validated, communicating with teams in multiple locations/time-zones and managing priorities accordingly. Proactively deliver on predefined individual and team targets with quality and excellence. You will also support local/global projects and partner with Analytical teams to identify/develop automation opportunities.

In This Role You Will Be:

  • Responsible for collection and management of Structured Finance data used for analytical purposes
  • Work closely with analytical teams on projects, requirements and process improvements
  • Ensure reports are received on time and the data is validated
  • Resolve data queries internally and with external clients in a timely manner
  • Ensure the processes comply with regulatory and internal policies
  • Work with Technology, Analytical and Data Office teams on enhancements and improvement projects including automation opportunities and support on User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Pro-actively look for areas where data processes can improve and implement those changes
  • Produce reports for the business using data history by querying the databases
  • Responsible for creation and maintenance of Data Process Manuals
  • Create/track metrics across the dimensions of data quality
  • Understand and map data flows end-to-end to a technical level and can isolate and rectify issues

The Impact:

This role provides a vital connection between S&P Global Ratings data and global markets by ensuring quality data for consumption by downstream products and investors. The role has a core impact to our stakeholders, serves as the backbone of S&P Global Ratings process and has high visibility within Analytical, Technology and Data teams.

The team is comprised of strong and intelligent data analysts with various types of experience. The new team member will work closely with the extended members to ensure that data is managed in a clean and efficient manner, strive to deliver outstanding client experience, while helping to mitigate regulatory and legal risk exposure to the organization.

What We're Looking For:

Basic Qualifications

  • Fluency in English and the ability to communicate in Spanish and/or Portuguese
  • A bachelor's degree (STEM areas or Economics) or equivalent experience
  • Database knowledge and advanced Excel
  • Organized, detail-oriented, able to work in a team and under minimal supervision to meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Knowledge on SQL and Python

Preferred Qualifications

  • Can manage and analyze large volumes of data
  • Able to speak about technical issues to a non-technical audience
  • Can handle multiple queries and has flexibility to adjust to changing circumstances quickly
  • Can drill down to understand the root causes of issues and troubleshoot with stakeholders
  • Knowledge in Financial Markets/Structured Finance, RPA, SQL, Python, Spark and/or R
  • Experience with BI applications will be considered a plus
