Company Description

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Field Application Engineer (FAE) to join our growing Embedded Software Development team. In this role, you will provide hands-on technical support and issue resolution for complex software integration projects focused on Android Automotive in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) systems. You'll collaborate closely with international engineering teams to ensure the successful deployment, integration, and validation of embedded software solutions for global automotive clients. PROJECT

The project empowers OEMs to deliver modern, customizable infotainment experiences by integrating Android Automotive into their vehicles. It addresses the challenge of fragmented in-car software by offering a unified, scalable platform that supports navigation, media, connectivity, and essential system-level features.

As a Field Application Engineer (FAE), you will be responsible for environment setup support, IVI device flashing, issue management, onboarding, and familiarizing yourself with project deliverables.

Job Description
  • Support the setup and configuration of development and testing environments for Android Automotive IVI systems
  • Assist with flashing and validating IVI devices, including in-vehicle installations
  • Capture system logs, reproduce reported issues, and track resolution progress in coordination with development and QA teams
  • Maintain and update engineering validation checklists to ensure system functionality and compliance
  • Prepare and deliver weekly summaries and final support reports documenting technical activities and outcomes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration and validation of software builds
  • Act as a technical liaison between local engineering teams and international stakeholders
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in embedded systems, automotive software, or field engineering roles
  • Hands-on experience with Android Automotive, IVI systems, or similar embedded platforms
  • Familiarity with software flashing tools, log analysis, and issue tracking systems (e.g., Jira)
  • At least an Upper-Intermediate level of English

WOULD BE A PLUS:

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing tools
