Role Overview

Seeking two experienced .NET/APIM Developers to support a healthcare dermatology portal. Responsibilities include new feature development, break-fix support, and deployment assistance in an agile environment. Work is managed via Jira in 2-week sprints with peer code reviews.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Provider Portal features

Provide break-fix support and troubleshoot issues

Assist with deployment activities

Collaborate with Product Owner and team

Participate in peer reviews for quality assurance

Core Technologies

.NET Framework 4.7.1 / ASP.NET MVC

SQL Server

jQuery + (UI layer)

Nice-to-Have Skills

CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps)

Infrastructure as Code (ARM/Bicep or Terraform)

Strong understanding of APIM concepts

Knowledge of Azure Service Bus or RabbitMQ

Observability: logs, metrics, dashboards (OpenTelemetry, Application Insights)

Security: OpenID providers (Azure Entra ID), auth flows

Azure-specific security: Managed Identity, networking, Key Vault

Client: Healthcare - Dermatology Portal

Time Zone: EST-PST (stakeholders across regions)

Methodology: Agile (2-week sprints, Jira backlog)

Evaluation Criteria

Azure API Management & Bicep (25%) – Infrastructure-as-code, APIM configuration, deployment strategy

API Testing & Healthcare Integration (15%) – Postman, healthcare standards (FHIR, HL7), security/authentication

Portal Support (25%) – Debugging, performance tuning, front-end/back-end integration

Security & Compliance (10%) – HIPAA/PHIPA awareness, secure coding, secrets management

Problem Solving & Communication (15%) – Scenario-based thinking, stakeholder communication, documentation clarity

Culture Fit (10%) – Collaboration, adaptability, ability to handle ambiguity

Important Note

Previous candidates lacked APIM, Bicep, secure coding, and healthcare standards experience. We prioritise profiles with strong senior-level capabilities and minimal onboarding needs.
