The Role:
- Provide service activation support across multiple short-term client
engagements.
- Transition small projects into operations.
- Activate/deactivate services for specific devices (Variations).
- Assist with service establishment of new clients Service termination for
exiting clients.
- Work collaboratively with operational delivery teams, Service Delivery
Managers and Professional Services staff to activate services and
transition projects in a planned and structured manner, ensuring a high degree of customer satisfaction.
Role Responsibilities:
- Be accountable for project coordination of customer transitions.
- Prepare Runsheet, RAIDD and Biki transition page and ensure they are up to date.
- Identify and escalate risks.
- Validate Acceptance Criteria for each transition ensuring deliverables are:
- fit for purpose (utility – fulfils customer needs) and
- fit for use (warranty – service available when user needs it)
- Allocate ServiceNow tasks to appropriate technical resources.
- Responsible for facilitating the delivery of small transitions (additions,
cancellations, churns, renewals, and small projects) using established
processes and templates.
- Scoping and planning:
- Prepare realistic plans and track activities against the transition run sheet.
- Monitor timelines and resources used, and act where these deviate from agreed expectations.
- Ensure that own transitions are formally closed, subsequently reviewed and that lessons learned are recorded.
- Stakeholder management: agree transition approach with stakeholders, manage their involvement and prepare reports as appropriate.
- Identify and manage risks; identify, assess and manage risks to the success of the transition.
- Manage acceptance criteria and quality gates; define acceptance criteria for service transition and ensure quality outputs are fit for purpose and fit for use with "business- as-usual" services.
- Coordinate the transfer of knowledge, ensure teams are adequately briefed and trained on processes, procedures and technology.
- Knowledge Management: ensure the standard document repository is setup for ongoing operational services.
- Cyclical Transition Tasks: ensure recurring cyclical transition tasks are scheduled and completed.
Key Competencies and Qualifications Required:
- Minimum 3-4 years' experience in a similar capacity.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional organisational skills.
- Proven ability to work within and across teams.
- Drives quality outcomes within agreed scope and timelines.
- Able to meet deadlines and thrive under pressure.
- Passionately service oriented.
- Tertiary qualifications (degree or diploma) in a related IT discipline.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification / PRINCE2 Project
Management Certification.
- ITIL Foundations Certification.
