Job Description:

Role Title: Maintenance Technician
Role Function and Group: Supply/Manufacturing
Location: Rio
Position Summary:
This position reports to Maintenance Leader at Rio Plant and will be responsible for several activities in the Mechanical Maintenance department, including maintenance on a variety of equipment, project execution, daily work/task guidance to mechanics to achieve department goals and targets, besides supporting initiatives to reduce and control costs.

Key Outputs: What we can expect from you

  • Daily work/task guidance to mechanics;
  • Equipment troubleshooting;
  • Screen Maintenance notifications, create work order, complete work order planning and close work order;
  • Create/Update daily and weekly schedule;
  • Assign work to execute scheduled and P1 works;
  • Ensure execution of scheduled PM and enter WO if immediate repair is needed;
  • Perform SES in SAP for services;
  • Participate in cross functional teams doing FMECA analysis and review/validate equipment strategy;
  • Write Job procedure for Job Packs and provide input on BoM, Tools list, pass/fail criteria;
  • Review and accepts final job pack;
  • Administrator of OIMS 6.2 or 6.4;
  • Interface with Operations to define equipment availability for works in the weekly/daily schedule;
  • Generate 4 week look ahead (high level schedule), including PM's
  • Support project development;
  • Support GME program, focusing on Root Cause Analyses(RCA) methodology to mechanical equipment as well as improvement actions;
  • Selection and specification of equipment and materials;
  • Any additional responsibilities as assigned.

A successful candidate is likely to have:

  • Mechanical Technician degree;
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in Maintenance organization including at least two years of supervisory experience;
  • Advanced English;
  • Excellent knowledge of pump types (positive displacement, centrifugal, scroll, pneumatic) and pump aligning (drive/gear box), and good understanding of other crafts;
  • Technical and process competencies including safety and troubleshooting;
  • Good understanding of Operations;
  • Planning/scheduling skills;
  • Good relationship and Interpersonal skills – capacity of influencing others;
  • Leadership skills;
  • Motivation;
  • Commitment and ownership;
  • Understanding of risk and risk assessment abilities / Risk assessment attitude;
  • Attention to details;
  • Ability to deal with multitasks and good sense of prioritization;
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Knowledge of Brazilian regulation;
