Organization:

ODS BRASIL is hiring a PROJECT ENGINEER with the workplace based in Campinas,SP.

Responsibilities

• Stays up to date on the latest technological developments, engineering at clients and suppliers in relation to his discipline.
• Acts as a specialist for the specific discipline within the organization.
• Develops, checks and approves standardized documents and working methods within the organization.
• Pro-actively and/or upon request provides judgement based on the project specifications and experience with respect to the feasibility and potential issues.
• Responsible for the execution of several projects/packages within contractual requirements (budget, schedule, specifications, etc.).
• Supervision of the Lead PE/PM will differ based on the complexity of the projects/systems.
• Operates within boundaries of the project schedule, monitors the progress, aligning with clients and identifies deviations from the schedule.
• Executes and monitors the engineering of the projects in close cooperation with the involved disciplines or suppliers.
• Review, verification and validation of the engineering deliverables in line with contractual requirements.
• Responsible for following procurement of components and services, RFQ/PO template, etc.
• Verifies that all requirements for supplier invoices have been fulfilled.
• Arranges packing, transportation and delivery according to contractual requirements.
• Attends the internal kick-off meeting when required.
• Determines the detailed design specifications and provides these to the Project Manager.
• Reviews the quotations and provides advice to the Project Engineer and/or Project Manager on procurement decisions.
• Places or assists to place the order with the supplier after approval by the Project Manager. Ensures the order is being processed and contacts the supplier in case of issues.
• Carries out or assists in test procedures for parts of the metering systems as well as for the to be delivered systems and prepares the inspection report of these tests.
• Ensures proper compliance to Engineering Authorisation Matrix.
• Any potential technical issues are timely identified during project execution, these are mitigated and if required effectively solved with client and suppliers.
• Responsible for the correct administration of applicable specifications and identification of additional work due to new/revised specifications.
• Monitors construction and assembly activities.
• Arranges that all bought out components are inspected according to applicable requirements.
• Organizes, leads and assists FAT/SAT/IV tests.
• Operates within boundaries of project budget, to identify (future) deviations with respect to the project budget.
• Responsible for the analysis and coordination of less/additional work and proper settlement with clients and suppliers.
• Responsible for the monitoring of the execution of contractual agreements by suppliers and address issues occurring.

Educational Background

• Bachelor´s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Knowledgde of flow metering systems and relevant applications (will be a differential).
• Knowledge of the disciplines E&I, process technology, control technology in order to be able to oversee and integrate the complete system.
• Knowledge of rules and regulations for systems in Oil&Gas industry (will be a differential).
• Knowledge of (systems for) business administration.
• Knowledgde of relevant international (design) codes, standards, directives, legislation and certifications.
• Capable of checking drawings and calculations by suppliers with respect to discipline, safety, specifications, fabrication, operation, etc.
• Capable of translating requirements from specifications to instructions suppliers, draftsman, etc.
• Knowledge on metering, electrical and instrumentation technology.
• Knowledge of components their characteristics and availability.

Soft Skills:

• Management skills required for a result oriented operation of the project team.
• Excellent verbal skills in Portuguese and English language in order to communicate with clients, suppliers and engineering documentation (English advanced will a differential).
• Ability to creatively and adequately analyse and solve challenges on the level of the entire system.
• Continuous improvement mindset.
