We are seeking an experienced Senior Scala Developer with knowledge of AWS to join our dynamic team.

This role requires proficiency in backend development, cloud deployments, and creative problem-solving. You will play a key role in building and maintaining scalable, high-performance systems while working with modern cloud technologies.

Please note that this role requires working from the office 2 days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Build backend systems using Scala while adhering to OOP and SOLID principles
  • Integrate AWS services such as RDS (Aurora/PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases
  • Define infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions with tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Develop CI/CD pipelines using CircleCI or AWS CDK
  • Collaborate with teams to create RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures
  • Ensure cloud deployment strategies achieve high application availability by following AWS best practices
  • Contribute to architectural decisions to promote scalability and maintainability
  • Address data engineering challenges with tools like Apache Spark
  • Monitor and optimize systems' performance to resolve bottlenecks
  • Promote software development and deployment best practices

Requirements

  • 3+ years of backend development experience with a solid foundation in OOP and SOLID principles
  • Proficiency in Scala
  • Experience in AWS deployments and services like RDS (Aurora/PostgreSQL) or NoSQL databases
  • Skills in building RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines using tools like CircleCI or AWS CDK
  • Background in data engineering with Apache Spark
  • Fluency in English communication at a B2+ level
