The Role
As an Application Migration & Modernization Architect, you'll deliver Value Cases, proof of concept and MVP projects where customers create an iterative design as they mature new technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Provide E2E Consulting advise on Application Modernization design/solutions components based on assessment,containerization analysis,suitability for containerization ( multiple tools ) , Input and Guidance on AKS/EKS etc target environment design ; coordination with infrastructure and application CI/CD, application development ; overall guidance as required for SysOps
• Develop Cloud Values Case and architecture case strategies and application disposition assessments
• Analyze technical requirements, plan and execute design and implementation work, while accounting for time, cost and quality targets
• Accountable for successful delivery of highly complex, multi-disciplined work-streams that deliver lasting and measurable value to clients
• Develop a point of view, capture, prioritize and analyze technical (functional and non-functional) requirements
• Possess strong leadership skills and further the evolution of intellectual capital assets and developing practice resources
• Possibility to assemble and lead a team of consultants with engagement management oversight
• Educate, mentor and coach teams in applying consulting techniques
• Facilitate and capture lessons learned from engagements to update methodologies and assets
• Conduct consulting lunch and learns to disseminate knowledge
• Participate in the effort to expand service offerings
• Have personal skills, objectives and learning plans to attain utilization KPIs
• Be a recognized technology leader inside of Kyndryl and outside in the market

Requirements:

• Fluent English
• Application Disposition Analysis for Hybrid Multi-Cloud –
• Methodology and practical experience across multiple platforms and technologies
• Leverage tools like; CAST/CloudGenera, Flexera Cloudscape
• Ability to design and implement common Distributed, Mainframe, Mid-range and hybrid-cloud application architecture and solutions:
• Cloud Business Case, TCO, Value Case experience
• AWS blu age and Blu insights
• Google Cloud G4
• Cost optimization strategies for existing platforms and hybrid-cloud accounts
• Software modernization and language conversion experience like; .Net, COBOL, Java, Python, RPG
• Experience with Micro-Focus, SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, IDMS/Adabase, etc…
• Experience with data strategies like Hierarchical, VSAM to Relational, IMS to Db2, database replication, and data isolation
• Migration of existing workloads in-place, traditional mainframe, and hybrid-cloud platforms
• Experience in exposing application data to hybrid platforms; utilizing API's, microservices
• Comprehensive Platform Modernization strategies like; Modernize in-place, 'Wrap legacy', Micro-services, Event Driven and Cloud native development.
• Networking between hybrid-platforms and the datacenter or other clouds.
• DevSecOps and Automating operations
• Using custom or Third-Party DevOps Tools and Modern Engineering practices
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal presentations
• Interpreting requirements and creating solutions
• Candidates should have or be on the path to obtain Associate Architect certification.
• Provide CI/CD guidance and Architecture experience. Application migration patterns, container options and technologies, cloud readiness, disposition, security foundations, & networking

Preferred Skills:

• In depth understanding IT applications, workloads, and modern engineering methods such as containers, automation, and resiliency
• DevSecOps and CI/CD tooling (particularly in the context of cloud or containers)
• Broad knowledge of modern software engineering technologies including application requirements gathering, testing strategies, and remediation strategies.
• Experience in the areas of IT and cloud technology architecture, automation, and resiliency
• Participate in detailed design sessions to outline implementation tasks
• Hands on experience with key technologies
• Ability to articulate key technologies' impact on security, availability, cost, capacity, etc…
• Experience in Agile (Kanban, SAFe, and Scrum)
• Experience with various IT Operating Models and building organizations to deploy and support key technologies
