Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced SAP Test Lead to oversee and coordinate testing activities across multiple SAP modules and projects, ensuring quality delivery and minimal business disruption. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in SAP testing methodologies, test planning, test execution, and stakeholder coordination in both ECC and S/4HANA environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement the overall test strategy, test plan, and test scripts for SAP projects (implementation, rollout, upgrade, support).

  • Coordinate end-to-end testing cycles, including Unit Testing (UT), System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Regression Testing, and Cutover Testing.

  • Manage and lead a team of functional and technical testers across modules like SD, MM, FI, PP, WM, EWM, QM, etc.

  • Liaise with project managers, functional leads, and business stakeholders to align on testing objectives and timelines.

  • Ensure test environment readiness, test data availability, and proper defect triage and resolution.

  • Use test management tools (e.g., SAP Solution Manager, HP ALM, JIRA, TestRail, Tricentis Tosca) to track test progress and report on key quality metrics.

  • Drive test automation strategy where applicable, especially for regression testing in S/4HANA or Fiori environments.

  • Facilitate daily test status meetings, defect triage calls, and provide regular test progress reports to leadership.

  • Ensure compliance with organizational testing policies, standards, and audit requirements.

  • Provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to junior testers and business testers.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7 years of experience in SAP testing, with at least 2–3 years in a lead role.

  • Strong understanding of SAP modules and integration points (FI/MM/SD/PP/WM/EWM/QM, etc.).

  • Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA projects (greenfield/brownfield/migration) is highly preferred.

  • Hands-on experience with SAP Solution Manager – Test Suite or similar tools.

  • Solid knowledge of test lifecycle, methodologies (Agile/Waterfall), and defect management practices.

  • Ability to manage and prioritize testing activities across multiple streams.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience with offshore/nearshore test team coordination.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with test automation tools such as Tricentis Tosca, Worksoft Certify, or UFT.

  • Familiarity with SAP Fiori testing, including UI testing automation and user experience validation.

  • ISTQB Certification or equivalent is a plus.

  • Experience in regulated industries (e.g., pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, utilities) is a plus.
