Manager, Human Resources

Position Summary:Maintains and enhances the organization's human resources by planning, implementing and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs and practices.Manages multiple areas of human resources including, but not limited to talent acquisition, HRIS administration, health and wellness benefits, training and development, AA/EEO compliance and labor relations.Primary Responsibilities:Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategySupport current and future business needs through the recruitment and development of employeesAssess training needs, conduct employee training and ensure accurate training recordsManage the talent acquisition process internally and externallyImplements and annually updates compensation program; rewrites job descriptions as necessary; conducts annual salary surveys and develops merit pool (salary budget); analyzes compensation; monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessaryOversee and manage talent management processes including performance management, succession planning and top talent identificationManages the HRIS system, including accurate payroll recordsManages human resource plans and procedures, assists in the development and implementation of policies, procedures and related documentsLeads and manages employees investigations, ethics or compliance issues that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures or government lawResponsible for HR Metrics for Management Operating SystemFacilitate and lead committees including safety, employee activities, etc.Negotiates in collective bargaining procedures and processes to maintain a positive relationship with its employees and union representation, if applicableEnsures 6S, housekeeping and health and safety standards are maintainedMaintains compliance with federal and state regulations; ensure federal and state posters are current and posted in locations.Ensures compliance with Federal and State statutes, including FLSA, FMLA, OSHA, EEO, ACA and ADAComplies with policies and procedures pertaining to the location, corporate, and customer standards such as TS***** and ISO*****.May, on occasion, be required to perform duties other than those specified in this description.Education and Qualifications:BS/BA Degree required.Concentration in Human Resources Management, Business, Organizational Communication, or Industrial Psychology.Proficient with English language.Progressive Human Resources Management/Leadership experience.Prefer two plus years of leadership experience.Broad knowledge and experience in Human Resources, policy interpretations and legal requirements.Proficient with MS office, HRIS, and other software programs.Possess a high standard attention to detail.Ability to bring strategic thought leadership while providing strong execution of detailed departmental functions.Ability to work and communicate effectively with a wide array of plant personnel ranging from hourly employees to senior management.Flexibility and ability to balance business needs and employee engagement.Must have exceptional communication skills-both oral and written.Labor Relations experience required for unionized facilities.Willingness and ability to travel, as necessary.Willingness and ability to work split shifts, as necessary.Cooper Standard is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.All qualified applicants/employees will receive consideration for employment without regard to that individual's age, race, color, religion or creed, national origin or ancestry, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, physical or mental disability, veteran status, genetic information, ethnicity, citizenship, or any other characteristic protected by law.Please note that Cooper Standard maintains a list of preferred recruiting agencies and only members of our Talent Acquisition Department have the authority to engage and authorize recruiting services.We also do not seek or accept unsolicited resumes from third party recruiters or staffing agencies.Any unsolicited resumes sent to Cooper Standard will be considered unencumbered and free from any charge whatsoever.
