**Requisition ID**:*******Job Category**:Engineering**Location**:Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, BrazilJoin a company that is passionately committed to the pursuit of a better world through positive change.With more than 65 years of business and technical expertise in mining, energy, and infrastructure, our 10,000 colleagues in 150 countries tirelessly work toward bettering the industries in which we operate.With practical solutions that are safe, innovative and sustainable, we think globally while acting locally.Are you looking for an opportunity to join a diverse group of professionals who are committed to remaining exceptional?We look forward to hearing from you.Regional Mining Leader, BrazilHatch is seeking a Regional Leader to lead its Mining practice in Brazil.The Mining team brings together experts in a variety of disciplines ranging from Tailings, Metallurgy, Mining Technologies (Smelters and Blast Furnaces), Extraction, Mining Operations and other related areas to inspire positive change in cities and communities around the world.The Mining team at Hatch is a long-established group and has grown organically at a successful rate globally since Hatch's creation in ****.The next phase of growth will be further expansion as we establish a broader presence across the South American continent, most notably in Peru, Chile, Colombia and Brazil.This exciting role will oversee all aspects of our regional Mining business and join a strong global leadership team that is one of the main pillars of Hatch's service offerings.Reporting to the Managing Director Metals and Mining, this role will be responsible for growing and leading a thriving multidisciplinary group in coordination with colleagues around the broader global Hatch platform.The Regional Mining Lead will provide leadership in maintaining and further developing the Mining practice, including responsibility for business development, team leadership and development, thought leadership and research, client engagement, technical oversight of deliverables and project financial performance.Hatch is an employee-owned, multidisciplinary professional services firm, established for over 60 years, that delivers a comprehensive array of technical and strategic services.Our global network of 9,000 professionals work on the world's toughest challenges.Our experience spans over 150 countries around the world in the metals, energy, infrastructure, digital, and investments market sectors.**Responsibilities**:- Act as the overall regional leader for Hatch's Mining business and be responsible for the growth of the practice in the market and financially.- Achieving and developing business development targets through client relationships and project pursuits.- Grow the team to match increasing workload and collaborate globally with the whole of the Energy global team.- Lead the bid development processes by managing technical proposals and providing written technical inputs as necessary.- Provide the strategic planning of short and long-term business direction.- Liaise, network and encourage collaboration across Hatch's disciplines and businesses that contribute to the overall Power offer.- Work closely with other managers on all ongoing projects and staffing.- Provide quality assurance of ongoing projects, reports, bid submissions and products.**Qualifications**:- Bachelor's degree (Masters preferred) in engineering, science or related fields.- 15+ years of experience in Mining consulting and operations or a related field with a strong consulting element.- Previous experience in leading and growing a team and function for commercial performance in a consultancy environment.- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage project teams in a multi-disciplinary environment.- Demonstrable track record of successful business development and achievement of targets.- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively; build relationships and influence effectively, with colleagues, clients and stakeholders.- Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills in complex and changing environments.Why join us?- Work with great people to make a difference- Collaborate on exciting projects to develop innovative solutions- Top employerWhat we offer you?- Long term career development- Think globally, work locallyWe're committed to fostering a workforce that reflects the diversity of the communities in which we operate and serve.Hatch is an Equal Opportunity Employer that considers applicants without regard to age, race, color, national origin, citizenship, religion, creed, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, veteran, or any other protected status.If you have any accommodation requirements, please let us know.We'll do our best to meet your needs in accordance with applicable local legislation.
