Backend Engineer PositionThe role involves driving business success and improving patient outcomes as a skilled Backend Engineer (PHP/Laravel).Key Responsibilities:Develop and optimize our Electronic Health Record platform using PHP/Laravel, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability.Create database schemas that represent and support healthcare processes.Implement APIs for internal and external use, facilitating seamless integration with other healthcare systems and third-party services.Ensure the platform's compliance with healthcare industry standards, including HIPAA, by implementing robust security measures and data protection protocols.Additional Responsibilities:Mentor junior developers in backend development best practices, code review, and team collaboration.Stay updated on new technology trends and evaluate their application to continually innovate and enhance the platform.Contribute to agile development processes, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software.Collaborate with designers to refine the platform's user interface and experience, implementing responsive and intuitive front-end functionalities using modern JavaScript frameworks.Competencies/Requirements:Strong proficiency in PHP/Laravel and MySQL.Experience with version control tools, preferably Git.At least 5 years of experience in backend development, with a proven track record of developing scalable web applications.Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and innovative solution development.Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.A focus on code quality, design specifications, and creating a secure and efficient platform.
