Maintenance Technician

The Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team at Amazon is essential to our operations – they keep critical equipment running around the clock.As an RME Technician, you will perform maintenance on a wide range of equipment and workspaces while upholding the best practices for Health & Safety.You'll help keep your colleagues safe and prevent machine downtime.Our RME Technicians improve equipment availability and quality, and also work to enhance the operational environment.Key job responsibilitiesProactive and preventive maintenance tasks across a wide range of equipment at the facility.Perform reactive repairs and fault diagnosis at an operating distribution center.Use the latest tools to maximize equipment effectiveness.Maintain all health and safety policies and practices.Support the development and progression of on-site apprentices.Work on continuous improvement projects and implement best practices across multiple sites in Brazil.A day in the lifeOur RME Technicians are based at the site so they can quickly respond to machinery issues.You will perform a series of planned preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure they operate safely.As an RME Technician, you will also respond promptly to failures, investigate, find, and implement solutions as fast as possible.You will also make suggestions for long-term improvements.Working alongside more experienced colleagues, you will carry out daily maintenance tasks and liaise with contractors when external expertise is required.You may work a variety of shifts to guarantee our sites are supported 24 hours a day, enabling Amazon to deliver at the speed we are known for.About the teamThe Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team keeps our equipment running at peak performance.We are a technically minded team of excellent players, guided by experienced leaders.We work together to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment across our global network of distribution centers.We handle most technical aspects of Amazon's sites, from automated packaging system installation to general site maintenance supervision and key distribution equipment repair.We keep sites in legal compliance, ensuring safety and operational efficiency.There are many opportunities for progression, both within RME and more broadly across Amazon.We work to reduce downtime at critical sites so customers receive their orders on time.When we identify a better way to do something, we have the skills and opportunity to develop and introduce entirely new processes or cutting-edge technology.Basic qualificationsExperience in scheduled preventive maintenance systems.Experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance tasks.Experience troubleshooting conveyor system faults (MHE, Material Handling Equipment) and automation.Strategic thinking to solve problems.Availability to work flexible work/shift/area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.High school diploma or equivalent.Experience with Microsoft Office products.Preferred qualificationsFluency in English.Experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.Experience conducting predictive and preventive maintenance procedures.Experience with material handling equipment (MHE) safety standards per OEM and safety regulations.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.If you have a disability and need a workplace accommodation or adjustment during the application and hiring process, including support for the interview or onboarding process, please visit for more information.If the country/region you're applying in isn't listed, please contact your Recruiting Partner.Company: Amazon Servicos de Varejo do Brasil Ltda.Job ID: A*******#J-*****-Ljbffr
