Associate Director of Creative, AILocation: Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brasil (Remote – EST Time Zone).Eligible in Brazil, Mexico, Portugal, and Spain.About DarkroomDarkroom is a next-generation growth-marketing firm built on AI and an interdisciplinary approach.We deliver outsized returns by enhancing creative output, operational efficiency, and revenue across e-commerce, media, and social platforms.About the RoleThe Associate Director of Creative is a player/coach who manages a small pod of designers and delivers AI-powered creative direction, marketing design, and UI/UX work.They work closely with the Director of Creative and integrate tools such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Midjourney into workflows to boost efficiency and create cutting-edge solutions.ResponsibilitiesLead and coach a team of 1–2 designers, providing strategy, feedback, career development, and performance evaluation.Conduct weekly 1:1s with direct reports and maintain high-quality output across paid ads, emails, landing pages, and e-commerce websites.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, strategy, developers, and clients) to define project plans, meet objectives, and resolve issues.Own creative-direction engagements that influence paid marketing and organic channels, producing deliverables such as content calendars, briefs, and strategic proposals.Deliver UI/UX engagement work on branded e-commerce sites, emphasizing conversion-focused design and clarity.Build AI-based workflows, conduct training sessions, and co-create processes with the Director of Creative.Present design and creative direction proposals to clients, explaining choices with UX and marketing principles.Maintain component systems and design guidelines for consistency throughout the organization.Qualifications3–6+ years of senior-level design experience with at least 1 year of people-management experience preferred.Strong visual eye and deep knowledge of color theory, hierarchy, composition, and typography.Experience in creative direction, marketing design, or responsive web design, with a portfolio that showcases web design, branding, and marketing skills.Proficient in Figma (Auto Layout, Components, Variants) and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator).Hands-on experience using AI tools (ChatGPT, Midjourney, etc.) to produce client-ready deliverables.Strong client-facing skills in English—leading discovery calls and resolving feedback.Capability to guide direct reports, provide constructive internal feedback, and drive improvements.Ability to tackle ambiguous problems, understand business challenges, and design effective solutions.Comfortable collaborating with developers for design hand-off and implementation.Employment DetailsEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Advertising ServicesSeniority level: Mid-SeniorBenefits & CultureRemote-first culture with strong community focus, flexible parental leave, unlimited growth opportunities, and a fast-paced, high-performance environment.Equal Opportunity StatementDarkroom is an equal opportunity workplace—we are dedicated to equal employment opportunities regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national orientation, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity, or Veteran status.We also consider qualified applicants regardless of criminal histories, consistent with legal requirements.#J-*****-Ljbffr#J-*****-Ljbffr
