Senior E-Commerce Developer For High-Growth Storefront

Senior Shopify Expert OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced, hands-on expert to rebuild and optimize a high-volume DTC storefront on Shopify.This is a technical execution role where your work will directly impact conversion rates and you will collaborate with our growth, ops, and CRO strategist teams.This role requires a senior developer who can execute tasks independently and work closely with cross-functional teams.Key Responsibilities:Front-End Development: Rebuild key templates (Home, Collection, PDP, Cart, Checkout) with a mobile-first approach and implement CRO/UI enhancements such as trust signals, sticky ATC, bundles, urgency, reviews, upsells, and cart optimization.Speed and Performance Optimization: Improve load speeds across top pages under 2.5 seconds and remove theme bloat by unused scripts, oversized media, and duplicate app calls.Implement code splitting, minification, compression, defer/async scripts, lazy loading, and image optimization via Shopify CDN.Conversion and Funnel Optimization: Diagnose and fix checkout drop-offs and friction points, improve ATC rate, product discovery, clarity, and mobile usability, and implement A/B testing variants from the CRO team or propose your own.Tracking, Instrumentation, and Analytics: Configure and maintain GA4 event tracking, set up session recording and heatmaps, and interpret funnels with the team to provide actionable recommendations.Reporting and Communication: Provide weekly updates on conversion rate trends, AOV impacts, funnel drop-off changes, site issues, and speed regressions and maintain clear documentation and async communication with product, ops, and design teams.
