At Avenue Code, we transform businesses through technology.About the OpportunityWe are seeking a Backend Engineer (Golang) to join our Cloudflare team.This role is critical for powering all internal and external billing services, including customer onboarding, subscription management, payments, provisioning, and integrations with enterprise systems.As a Golang engineer, you will design, build, and maintain microservices that power our billing systems.You will develop and integrate RESTful APIs that interface with external financial and operational systems.Our team works in a modern, container-based, microservices environment built primarily in Golang, using Kafka, Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL at scale.You'll be part of a collaborative team that promotes mentorship, knowledge sharing, and autonomy.Required Qualifications5+ years of professional backend development experience.Strong hands-on experience with Golang or proven ability to quickly ramp up.Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs and backend microservices.Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases.Proficiency with Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration and deployment.Familiarity with event-driven systems.Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.Nice to Have SkillsExperience integrating with ERP systems such as Oracle, Workday, Anaplan, or NetSuite.Familiarity with API standards and tools.Exposure to Temporal or similar orchestration tools.Knowledge of distributed systems, security best practices, and observability.
