Director - Global Network Security

What you'll doThe Global Network Services organization is looking for a Director of Global Network Security to oversee the security of our global network infrastructure.
You will direct the design, implementation and maintenance of network security platforms and controls to protect our data, systems, and networks from cyber threats.
You will lead a team of security professionals and work with other departments to ensure excellent security across all network operations.
You will understand network security technologies, including Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Firewalls, and Proxy platforms.Summary of Primary ResponsibilitiesLead the global network security team, providing direction, mentorship, and support to ensure the team's success.Security Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive network security strategy that aligns with our goals.Network Security Operations: Oversee the daily operations and administration of network security controls, including Web Application Firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Firewalls, and Proxy platforms.Policy Development: Work with Global Security Office to develop security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.Risk Management: Identify and assess network security risks, and implement measures to mitigate these risks.Incident Response: Lead the response to network security incidents, including investigation, containment, and remediation.Collaboration: Work with other departments, including IT, legal, and compliance, to provide a coordinated approach to network security.Vendor Management: Manage relationships with security vendors and service providers to ensure we receive the best possible security solutions and support.Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver security training and awareness programs to educate employees about network security best practices.Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest network security trends, technologies, and threats, and improve our security posture.Design and operations of security systems and controls within a secure multi-tenant cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) environment.Work with teams/business to automate manual procedures and use CI/CD pipelines to help Security as CodeConvey complex technical information/solutions to executives using whiteboards, presentations, or written communications in a workshop format.Executive and technical-level communications and to gain credibility/trust of internal and external customers.Consult, assess, or audit, design, and interview partners to resolve technical requirements.Demonstrate 'Consultative based mindset' with and collaboration skill for uncovering unmet technology-based needs and translating the requirements into strategic solutionsHigh-level commitment and an appetite to adjust towards changing market and organization requirementsUse internal or external resourcesWhat your background isEducation: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
A master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM).
Experience: At least 10 years of experience in network security, with 5 years in a leadership role.Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of network security technologies, including Web Application Firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Firewalls, and Proxy platforms.Manage a team of security professionals.You will develop and implement security strategies.Experience demonstrating complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.You will identify and address security risks and incidents.Collaboration: Ability to work with other departments and partners to achieve common goals.Certifications: Relevant security certifications, such as CISSP, CISM.About ExperianExperian is a global data and technology company, powering opportunities for people and businesses around the world.
