Agentic Java Engineer

OverviewJoin our talent network and connect with U. S. clients for flexible, project-based development work as an Agentic Java Engineer. This is a remote role for candidates in Latin America. ResponsibilitiesIntegrate directly into the client's team and work alongside their designers and engineers on a daily basis.

Work within Agile/Scrum teams to deliver high-quality software. Design and implement RESTful web services using Java and the Spring Boot framework. Develop and maintain applications with PostgreSQL or traditional SQL databases; enable continuous integration and delivery. Utilize AI engineering tools to accelerate development, guide AI-generated code for quality and maintainability, and integrate model-produced code into larger systems.

Develop code agents to automate or facilitate software engineering tasks and contribute to libraries as needed. Identify with the goals of FullStack's clients and deliver on commitments with extreme ownership. Maintain a consistent 40-hour workweek. Qualifications5+ years of professional software development experience.

Advanced English is required. Four-year college degree required.

Experience

with Java and the Spring Boot framework.

Experience

designing and implementing RESTful services with Spring MVC or similar technologies.

Experience

with PostgreSQL or traditional SQL databases.

Experience

using AI tools (e.g., OpenAI Codex, Claude Code, Gemini CLI) to accelerate software development and review AI-generated code. Ability to prompt, guide, and review AI-produced code for quality and performance. Hands-on experience with AI-assisted or agentic development workflows and integrating model-produced code into larger systems.

Experience

implementing code agents to automate software engineering tasks. Ability to work through new and difficult issues and contribute to libraries as needed.

Experience

with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery. Detail-oriented with a positive, can-do attitude.

Experience
