
Risk Senior Credit Officer

**Job Background/context**:
Global Industries and Regional Credit ("GIRC") proactively manages the corporate credit exposure of Citi's Markets & Banking clients throughout the world.
Responsibilities include credit analysis, credit approval, and active monitoring of the portfolio to identify credit migration.
GIRC works in parallel with the Institutional Client Group (ICG) bankers and product specialists.
Working in conjunction with the bankers, GIRC are able to make informed decisions through an understanding of the credit, structure and profitability features of each relationship.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide Independent Risk sign-off on ICG Brazil credits.
- Identify and execute risk mitigation to create new risk capacity, reduce risks & concentration and to improve returns / capital allocation.
- Provide risk leadership in coordinating country and portfolio reviews across banking and product teams.
- Managing credit exposures within the portfolio, including stress testing and early problem recognition.
- Provide specific industry input and assist in the structuring of credit transactions as required by partners in the product groups and geographies.
- Work closely with the Corporate Bank and product teams to identify target market additions and deletions by reference to credit quality and return thresholds.
- Manage portfolio exposures through active risk mitigation decisions in conjunction with the Business.
- Leverages "lessons learned" to improve process and practice.
- Assesses risk/return trade-offs associated with transactions, products and client relationships
**QUALIFICATION/SPECIFIC RISK EXPERIENCE**
- Risk Senior Credit Officer.
- Minimum of 10 years of large corporate credit risk management experience.
Knowledge of other Risk disciplines a plus.
- Strong technical expertise and solid understanding of capital markets products, credit documentation (credit agreements, ISDA, CSA) and complex structures and associated risks (loans, derivative, trade and transactional services).
- Strong leadership skills.
- Excellent communications skills verbal & written.
- Active listening skills.
- Efficient time management and ability to cope with an unpredictable but time sensitive deal flow.
- Demonstrated strong ethics and integrity.
- Strategic insights and sensitivity to macro and regulatory issues.
