Job SummaryWe are seeking a seasoned Ruby expert to lead the integration between Discourse and an existing community platform.The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Ruby and experience with large-scale integration projects.Design and implement a high-performance P1 integration between Discourse and the community application, ensuring seamless data synchronization and efficient scalability.Develop a robust SSO solution using Okta and OIDC, guaranteeing secure token handling and session flows.Create and test group and role mapping between community roles and Discourse groups, ensuring accurate permissions and access control.Build backend Ruby adapters for moderation, taxonomy, and role syncing, leveraging feature flags for gated deployment.Implement shared header and navigation elements for a consistent cross-platform user experience.Develop webhook pipelines from Discourse into Snowflake for analytics, ensuring data integrity and precision.Collaborate with security and IT teams on Okta configuration, secrets, and access policies, ensuring compliance and risk management.Work closely with data engineering partners to finalize webhook schemas, retries, and observability, guaranteeing data accuracy and reliability.Support sprint ceremonies, demos, and unblock teammates on integration or Ruby-related work, fostering a collaborative environment.Ensure all deliverables are thoroughly tested, documented, and production-ready.
