At Fidel API (Permanent), in Lisbon, PortugalSalary: €****** - €******Expires at: **********Remote policy : Full remoteAs a software engineer, you'll be responsible for writing, testing and getting software production-ready.You'll also be asked to run small PoCs to test concepts and improve the way we write software and solutions.Security is an important requirement for Enigmatic Smile and Fidel API, so adherence to our PCI and ISO policies is a must for all requests and actions.Enigmatic Smile is a fintech scale-up with Fidel API as a standalone operation within the Engineering Team.Fidel API is a distributed team with a base in Lisboa, Portugal.Our customers are worldwide, and each country has different requirements we support through our platform.We are a visionary company looking to enable consumers, retailers, rewards publishers and banks around the world to improve customer experience.Main requirementsObjectives of this roleWriting high-quality software, that is both scalable and robustConduct Code Reviews; Thoroughly analyse peers' code submissions, identify potential issues, and offer actionable suggestions for improvement.Upholding code and application quality levels including writing automated tests.Assist in project planning, solutioning and decision-making for development initiatives.Contribute to ongoing continuous improvement with technical and process matters within the team.Ensure security compliance, including best practices for PCI DSS and ISO*****.Own the systems you work on, ensuring long term maintainability, scalability and reliabilityRequired skills and qualificationsProven experience as a software engineer on designing and developing scalable, high performance software solutionsProficiency with Git and ideally GitHub workflowsGood knowledge of common development languages and toolsWorking knowledge of databases, both NoSQL / Document and SQLProblem-solving attitudeCollaborative team spiritSkills needed by this teamAWS (we use Lambda, Cloud Formation, Dynamo DB, API Gateway and Step Functions)Languages / Frameworks : NodeJS, JavaScript, TypeScriptBenefits & PerksAs a scaling company, our benefits are evolving.As a minimum, you can expect :Fun work trips periodically, including meetups and events across UK and Europe.26 days annual leave plus nine Scottish bank holidaysDiscretionary BonusPension contributionsTraining and certificationsMedical coverAccess to online training programes#J-*****-Ljbffr
