About the Company Our client is a well-established Hong Kong-based multinational trading group with expanding operations across South America.They are seeking a seasoned Trading Director to lead their mining and/or food commodities trading business in the region.Key ResponsibilitiesLead business development and market expansion across South America (primarily Brazil, Argentina, and surrounding countries)Build and maintain long-term strategic relationships with key customers, suppliers, and partnersOversee all daily trading operations including sourcing, sales, logistics, pricing, and risk managementDevelop and execute regional profit strategies to drive sustainable growth and strong financial performanceAct as the company's senior representative in South America, ensuring alignment between local operations and global headquartersCollaborate closely with the Hong Kong/China headquarters and provide regular performance updates to senior managementRequirementsMinimum 8 years of proven trading experience, with a strong track record in mining (metals, minerals) and/or food commodities (grains, oilseeds, sugar, etc.)Extensive business development and deal-execution experience in South AmericaFluency in English and Portuguese (both written and spoken) is mandatoryProficiency in Mandarin Chinese will be a significant advantageStrong cross-cultural communication and leadership skills; comfortable operating in diverse international environmentsExcellent problem-solving abilities and deep understanding of cross-border trade regulations, logistics, and financingWillingness to relocate long-term to Brazil or ArgentinaWhat We OfferHighly competitive consultancy packageAttractive performance-based bonuses tied to P&L resultsOpportunity to play a pivotal leadership role in a fast-growing international trading houseDirect exposure to global markets and senior management in AsiaDynamic, entrepreneurial environment with significant autonomyInterested candidates should submit their detailed CV in English, including current and expected remuneration and availability.Please click "Apply Now" or send your application to the provided contact.
