Role Summaryeverup offers cashback on purchases of gift cards from top brands and allows users to win extra cash through free games.Our mission is to help consumers save money during rising living costs, combining savings with enjoyment.We provide digital branded prepayments and turn shopping into opportunities.everup is a unique gamified shopping experience in the prepaid and curated goods market, helping customers save money while bringing entertainment and excitement.The RoleYou will work across our event-driven, serverless stack to maintain and evolve production systems.That means adding features, fixing bugs, improving performance and cost, tightening security, and raising reliability—while collaborating closely with Mobile/Web teams.Key Responsibilities:Maintain and evolve AWS Lambda microservices behind Amazon API Gateway (HTTP/REST & WebSocket) and AWS IoT Core;Implement authentication/authorization via Cognito User Pools (JWT) and Lambda authorizers for REST/HTTP;Maintain and optimize data models and access patterns in DynamoDB and MySQL (RDS);Handle indexes, migrations, and query performance;Maintain asynchronous workflows using SQS/SNS (idempotency, DLQs, retries)Tech You Will Use:AWS Lambda, API Gateway (REST/WebSocket), Cognito, DynamoDB, RDS MySQL, SQS/SNS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudFormation/SAM, EC2, ECS, plus fintech/comms integrations (Open Banking/PSP, Gift Cards, Analytics, Messaging, Support, and Risk assessment tools).Requirements:8+ years building/maintaining production backends;4+ years with AWS serverless (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB);Proficiency in JavaScript/Node.js;Solid SQL/NoSQL skills (schema design, indexing, query tuning);Experience maintaining IaC (SAM/CloudFormation) and CI/CD (Code Pipeline);Security-first mindset and practical debugging/troubleshooting chops (OWASP);WebSocket/API Gateway connection management and real-time features;Predictable observability practices (dashboards, tracing, log correlation)
