This is an opportunity for a technical engineering manager passionate about open source software, Linux, containers, security, and developer experience, to shape the future of Linux from small systems to desktops.
The role requires a high level of technical and management skills.Our mission is to enable everyone to build robust solutions in fields like IoT, automotive, and aviation using the next-generation secure embedded Linux OS.
We focus on reliable device recovery mechanisms that simplify and standardize field operations for diverse appliances.ResponsibilitiesLead and grow a distributed team of engineers through hiring, coaching, mentoring, and career developmentContribute technically to your team's goals, demonstrating sound engineering principlesEnsure timely delivery of technical solutions addressing business needsManage expectations with engineering teams, management, and stakeholdersPromote modern, agile software development practices and organizational excellenceFoster a healthy, collaborative engineering culture aligned with company valuesParticipate in leadership discussions and collaborate with other organizational leadersWork remotely with biannual travel for company eventsQualificationsPassion for technology and working with talented teamsCurious, flexible, articulate, and accountableExperience in developing and growing engineering talentStrong background in software development and leadershipExperience in agile environmentsBachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM, or related fieldsExperience with embedded software, Golang, C/C++, Shell scriptingGood understanding of Linux, preferably Debian or UbuntuWe value diversity and are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace.
