At Amazon, we work to be the most customer-centric company in the world.This requires exceptionally talented, brilliant, and motivated people.Amazon is seeking an Area Manager for the outbound operations at our Nova Santa Rita/RS Distribution Center on the night shift.This role will focus on Team Safety, Operational Quality, Team Management, delivering the best customer experience, and exceeding productivity targets.Day-to-day responsibilitiesImplement and strengthen safety culture during shifts, ensuring the team works safely and risks are eliminatedReview shift production forecasts and allocate resources to meet targetsMonitor production and productivity metrics to quickly correct deviationsMaintain routines to develop team knowledge and skills, address problems, and provide employees with a safe, fun, and high-performance environmentA day in the lifeThe outbound operations area is responsible for picking, packing, and shipping customer orders.As an Area Manager, your goal will be to ensure resources are in place for these activities to be completed effectively.This means ensuring:Team members are in the correct positionsOperational routines are followedProductivity targets are metTraining is up to dateProblems are resolved quickly and permanentlyWhen metrics fall below target, you will be responsible for investigating to find the root cause and implementing corrective actions.This role requires schedule flexibility, especially during peak demand periods.QualificationsBachelor's degree in business, engineering, operations, supply chain, transportation logisticsWork flexible shifts including night shifts and weekendsKnowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.Experience with performance metrics and process improvement and Lean techniquesExperience managing teams of 10+ people in industrial environments such as manufacturing, operations, e-commerce, or similar settingsIntermediate English (capable of writing emails and reading operational procedures)Fluent PortugueseKnowledge of Kaizen and Lean methodology techniquesSpeak, write, and read fluently in EnglishOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.If you have a disability and need a workplace accommodation or adjustment during the application and hiring process, including support for the interview or onboarding process, please visit for more information.If the country/region you are applying in isn't listed, please contact your Recruiting Partner.#J-*****-Ljbffr
