At Avenue Code, we help businesses thrive through innovative technology solutions.Our team specializes in digital transformation and end-to-end development consultancy services.We're seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join our Cloudflare's Billing Engineering team.As a key contributor, you'll play a crucial role in powering internal and external billing services using cutting-edge technologies like Golang, Kafka, Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL.The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running, delivering tangible results from day one.Our modern microservices environment is built on a container-based architecture, promoting collaboration, knowledge sharing, and autonomy.You'll have the freedom to take ownership of projects, drive meaningful results, and contribute to the growth of the team.Key responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining scalable Golang-based microservices.This entails developing RESTful APIs, working with event-driven systems, managing deployments, collaborating with stakeholders, diagnosing production issues, participating in code reviews, and ensuring system reliability, scalability, and security.Required qualifications include 5+ years of professional backend development experience, strong hands-on expertise with Golang, experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs and backend microservices, solid understanding of SQL and relational databases, proficiency with Kubernetes and Docker, familiarity with event-driven systems, experience working in Unix/Linux environments, strong debugging and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication and collaboration abilities.Nice to have skills include experience integrating with ERP systems, familiarity with API standards and tools, exposure to orchestration tools, knowledge of distributed systems, security best practices, and observability.
