Senior engineers are in high demand for this short-term project.The goal is to redesign the configuration management database (CMDB) within Jira Service Management.This requires a technical consultant with expertise in CMDB architecture, design, and governance.The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or related fields, with at least 4 years focused on CMDB architecture.They must be proficient in Jira Service Management, including schema architecture, imports, and complex IQL configuration.The consultant will lead an end-to-end CMDB implementation or redesign project as the primary technical architect.They must have a solid understanding of ITIL principles, particularly Service Asset and Configuration Management.Responsibilities:Conducting a comprehensive diagnostic of the existing JSM Assets environmentIdentifying data quality issues, architectural limitations, and process gapsEngaging with key stakeholders to define essential CMDB use casesThe successful candidate will work independently to deliver a sustainable, automated, and high-integrity CMDB that provides real-time, accurate data visibility.This includes:A thorough analysis of the current state of the JSM Assets environmentAn evaluation of data quality issues and potential solutionsThe development of a comprehensive CMDB implementation planCandidates should possess:Strong knowledge of CMDB architecture and design principlesExperience with Jira Service Management and its schema architectureAbility to work independently and lead cross-functional teams
