Python Developer – Cloud Application Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned Python engineer to support and develop new tools and processes for our private cloud application.Your role will involve communicating technical concepts clearly, facilitating discussions, collaborating with stakeholders, providing project updates and mentoring team members.Key Responsibilities:Develop high performance cloud and container technologies using Python;Deliver high quality solutions and code;Develop unit tests, improving the software development lifecycle;Investigate and resolve issues reported during testing and customer integration;Actively participate in all aspects of an agile software development process;Work as part of a team focused on containerization, virtualization and fault tolerant/carrier grade development;Required Skills and Qualifications:Solid backend developer knowledge with expertise in Linux Essentials;Middle-level understanding of hardware, processes, programs and components of the Linux Operating System;Familiarity with command line operations and file management;Ability to create and restore compressed backups and archives;System security knowledge including users/groups and file permissions;Able to create and run simple scripts;Strong computer networking knowledge and transport layers;Knowledge of cloud computing concepts;Collaboration experience across remote teams and time zones, and collaboration with senior technical leaders;Experience with GIT, Jira, Gitlab and code review tools;Container technology expertise (e.g., Docker, Linux Containers);Kubernetes Cluster Administration experience (design infrastructure that involves one or more Kubernetes clusters, configure, control, and monitor Kubernetes clusters);Docker and Helm expertise;Benefits:We offer a dynamic work environment where you can collaborate with experienced professionals and contribute to innovative projects.About Us:We are a leading provider of digital engineering and modernization services.Our technology practices include Product Engineering & Development, Cloud Services, Quality Engineering, DevSecOps, Data & Analytics, Digital Experience, Cybersecurity, and AI & LLM Engineering.We hire based on skills and qualifications, without discrimination.
