**The team you will be a part of**:
The Whirlpool** Global Consumer Design **(GCD) helps our customers all over the world connect with our brands and products by design compelling, useful, usable, and desirable solutions that are inspired by their evolving needs and insights.
**This role in summary**:
In this role, you will support the **Platform Design Team** who's responsible for bringing to life products and experiences for the full portfolio of the Whirlpool appliance brands (Whirlpool, KitchenAid, JennAir, Maytag and Amana).
Your scope of work will deliver strategic, cohesive, modern, powerful brand expressions.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- Elevate the design thinking and creative; constantly innovating.
- Reflect and express brand strategies through compelling product design.
- Develop impactful, creative ideas and execution that deliver and adhere to the brand standards, ensuring cohesion and consistency in addition to being flexible and willing to push creative boundaries when applicable.
- Collaborate with key internal partners to establish goals, and elevate the look and feel of our brand and customer experiences.
- Participate in a collaborative working environment across creative disciplines and across the company.
- Be a good human being that brings passion for the work and compassion for teammates.
**Minimum requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or related design degree is required.
- 2+ years of experience collaborating with a cross-functional team throughout the design process.
- Possess excellent 2D visual communication skills using traditional sketching and digital media (Photoshop, Illustrator, PowerPoint, etc. or similar)
- Ability to balance multiple programs simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communicator with data / information visualization skills to create visually appealing proposals and analyses
- Fluent English
- A portfolio will be requested/required for review if one is invited to interview
**Preferred skills and experiences**:
- Skills and hands-on experiences that augment the design process (e.g., Human Factors Engineering, Cognitive Psychology, Interaction Design, Mechanical Engineering)

This position is located in **Joinville,** the largest city in the state of Santa Catarina, and an important industrial, financial and commercial center in the southern region of the country.
This plant concentrates the production of refrigerators, freezers, dryers, water purifiers and B-blend machines.
In addition to being the headquarters in Brazil of the global team for research and development of products in the areas of refrigeration, air conditioning, water purifiers, cooking and electronics.
