About us: Smarter Contact is the #1 messaging platform for real estate professionals in the U.S. Our SaaS product powers millions of conversations to close more deals through smart SMS, voice, and automation.We're a fast-growing SaaS with serious traction — and now we're hiring an experienced Full Stack Engineer to build the internal systems, dev tools, and automation that keep our team moving fast and scaling smarter.If you get excited about clean abstractions, developer productivity, and building tools that make everyone's life better — we want to talk.What You'll Own: Design and implement internal DevOps tools and automation systems Build and maintain configuration management systems across multiple environments Create simulation/mock environments for third-party API integrations Develop and optimize Chrome extensions that improve internal workflows Build internal reporting frameworks for operational and financial data Create a layered permissions Admin Panel to reduce support load Implement best-in-class monitoring, logging, and observability Collaborate with developers, product, and ops to deliver tools that actually get used Contribute to the architecture and design of our internal systems and services What We're Looking For 7+ years of professional full stack software engineering experience 2+ years building platform, infrastructure, or internal tools Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Deep knowledge of TypeScript, modern JavaScript, and SQL Proven experience with GraphQL APIs, REST, and WebHooks Familiar with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines Experience creating mock/test environments for external APIs Strong communicator — able to explain ideas clearly and align with cross-functional teams You care deeply about developer experience, clean architecture, and high-leverage work Bonus Points (Not Required) Infrastructure-as-Code experience (Terraform, Pulumi, etc.) Containerization and orchestration experience (Docker, Kubernetes) Background in SaaS, especially cloud-native architecture Familiarity with observability stacks (Sentry, Datadog, Prometheus) Experience integrating with CRMs — especially HubSpot Knowledge of Twilio or similar communication APIs Why Smarter Contact?USD base compensation Clear growth path and autonomy — we value speed, skill, and ownership Build for builders — work on tools that actually get used by the whole team 15 days PTO + 5 sick days + 10 floating holidays Professional development budget Health & wellness benefit Remote-first team solving real customer problems at scale This opportunity is offered as a full-time independent contractor role Please Don't Apply If: You've never built internal tools or platform systems before You prefer working in a vacuum with no feedback or collaboration You're uncomfortable owning large parts of infrastructure or tooling You're looking for routine tasks — this is a high-impact, high-autonomy role You're a cloud infrastructure specialist only Ready to Build With Us?We're looking for a proven engineer ready to build the next chapter of their career — and stay for the long haul.If that's you we'd love to hear from you.
