About Eightpoint is an internet technology company that specializes in the agile development of products and content addressing real-world interests.It captivates users and drives significant growth for partners.With offices in the United States and Cayman Islands, Eightpoint collaborates with partners globally on the next generation of user-centric offerings.Our ecosystem includes innovative products like Weather Now, a sleek app delivering real-time forecasts with clarity, and ranks among the top three most-used weather apps in the U.S.; Check Heart Rate Now, a quick wellness monitor; and Wave Browser, a powerful and secure web search tool.We are seeking a skilled Android developer to lead mobile application development with a focus on cross-platform initiatives using Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) and Jetpack Compose.Experience with iOS development is beneficial as you will help shape our cross-platform architecture and deliver seamless products across Android and iOS ecosystems.Key Responsibilities:Develop, architect, and maintain mobile applications leveraging KMP for shared business logic and Compose for modern UI design.Collaborate on cross-platform initiatives, contributing to both Android and iOS codebases when necessary.Analyze and optimize high-volume mobile systems for performance and scalability.Refactor and revitalize codebases as technology evolves.Lead development efforts for new products and enhancements to existing products in response to market changes.Troubleshoot and resolve system failures, ensuring high-quality user experiences.You Are:5+ years of experience in Android development with proficiency in KotlinExperience with Jetpack Compose and modern Android architecture (MVVM, Clean Architecture)Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) or other cross-platform frameworksExposure to or experience with iOS development (Swift or Objective-C)Strong architecture design skills and ability to build reusable UI componentsExcellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
