Senior Backend Engineer PositionWe're seeking a seasoned senior backend engineer to join our team in building high-impact authorization logic for our microservices architecture.
This individual will take technical ownership of critical services, collaborate with other teams, and deliver production-ready code efficiently.This role is ideal for an experienced developer who has a strong background in Go, enterprise-scale systems, and secure authorization flows.The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying features for the Go-based authorization microservices, leading the migration of authorization logic from a Ruby on Rails monolith into standalone Go services, and architecting scalable and secure authorization flows.Main Responsibilities:Design and develop features for the Go-based authorization microservicesLead the migration of authorization logic from a Ruby on Rails monolith into standalone Go servicesArchitect scalable and secure authorization flows (RBAC, ABAC, deny-by-default)Ensure observability: implement logging, metrics, and tracing for reliabilityCollaborate closely with other engineering teams to ensure seamless integrationsParticipate in sprint rituals and proactively own tasks from the backlogDocument decisions and share knowledge to improve cross-team collaborationRequirements10+ years of professional backend development experience in enterprise-scale systems7+ years of production experience with Go (Golang) – strong command of idioms, concurrency, and microservices architectureHands-on Ruby on Rails experience, especially with reading/modifying code during migrationsDeep knowledge of authorization models (RBAC, ABAC) and security best practices (deny-by-default, audit logging)Strong experience with MySQL or other relational databasesObservability practices: metrics, logging, tracingAbility to ship a production-ready pull request within the first two weeksExcellent communication skills – structured, clear, and able to explain technical trade-offs and architectural choices
