Software DeveloperCityView - RemoteOVERVIEWDo you have experience with modern software languages and frameworks?Are you eager to use your technical skills and master new tools to ensure high-quality software?Do you enjoy solving complex problems with a focus on user satisfaction?CityView offers an exciting Software Developer role in our Research and Development team.This role requires a technical and creative mindset, understanding local government processes, and navigating complex software systems.Reporting to the Manager of Research and Development, you'll collaborate with developers and QA staff to develop and maintain our customizable software.This position is budgeted for a starting base salary of $60,000 to $70,000/year based on experience.WHAT WILL YOUR NEW ROLE BE- Contribute to the development of new enhancements, address existing issues, and deliver highly impactful, innovative features for CityView's product line.- Embrace a mindset of continuous learning, collaborate effectively within a team or work independently as needed.- Explore and experiment with emerging technologies.- Use MS Visual Studio, C#, TypeScript, HTML and third-party libraries to develop our off-the-shelf software suite designed for local governments.- Communicate with internal staff to ensure software releases are thoroughly tested, delivered, and documented.- Efficiently triage, problem-solve, and resolve production issues with urgency.- Participate in weekly meetings to clarify goals, design functionalities, and refine task estimates.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR- 2+ years of Professional experience developing complex and high-performance software solutions in a timely and cost-effective fashion.- Relevant Bachelor's degree, diploma, or equivalent work experience- Experience with.NET, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML- Experience with modern web technologies: Angular, Aurelia, React, Blazor- Exposure to Object Oriented Programming concepts- Proficiency and understanding of relational databases, MS SQL ServerWHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT- Experience with business process in local government, permitting, business licensing and property management- Experience with ESRI GIS, mapping tools- Experience with maintaining and evolving enduring software products over a long time period- Experience with Microsoft enterprise products such as SharePoint, Azure, and OpenAIABOUT OUR BUSINESSCityViewAtCityViewthe work is not mundane, the learning never stops and you will be provided with both personal and professional growth, technical challenges, and a chance to learn about yourself and what you are capable of.In exchange for consistent performance, you will have the benefit of working largely autonomously and with reasonable flexibility to accommodate personal demands into your work life.This is an opportunity to begin a long-term vocation with career prospects that go beyond CityView to Harris Computer Systems and further to the ultimate parent, Constellation Software.Constellation Software is publicly traded, owning over 400 vertical market software companies across the globe and is the largest software company in Canada.Seize the opportunity
