Summary
- Catalent is looking to recruit a Controller to join a growing team in Brazil.
The Controller is responsible by the following areas and their routines: fiscal, corporate and managerial accounting; costs and tax.
It will be part of its scope of action to monitor the progress of each of these areas, manage the team, implement improvements, attend to internal audits and ensure the accuracy of all data; preparation, analysis and reporting of all financial information in Brazil, including but not limited to: margin analysis by product, inventory accounting controls, P&L and balance sheet, presentation of results, aiming at an effective management of the area and the accuracy of the statements reported, disclosed and audited; calculation of direct and indirect taxes.
This person is part of the finance team, and will also support all other areas, whenever necessary.
**The Role**
The responsibilities are:
- Coordinate the analysis of financial indicators in order to assess ways to achieve and/or exceed P&L, Balance Sheet, Working Capital, Capital Investment (Capex), Cash Flow and other business KPIs.
- Coordinate the submission of financial information in compliance with USGAAP (for corporate purposes) and BRGAAP (for compliance with local legislation) on a monthly basis, accurately and in compliance with the timelines required by the corporation and Brazilian legislation
- Make definition and rules for calculating sales prices of new products and/or review of existing products, determining them in connection with what is established in the legislation that governs the company's business.
Establish robust information exchange flows with the Sales team
- Ensure the maintenance of sales price tables in the system
- Ensuring compliance with corporate guidelines and local legislation by reviewing and monitoring internal controls and computerized systems, implementing new tools, as necessary, and providing the accounting and legal support necessary for the proper fulfillment of the activity.
- Assist in the elaboration process of Operational Excellence Projects and productivity improvements through specific analyzes and support to the areas.
- Assist the company's areas, together with the planning team, in the preparation of Budget and Forecast of the business, financial projections and analysis of real indicators for decision making
- Assist the commercial area in the analysis of product margins, identifying opportunities for margin improvements or price increases
- Ensuring that all reports are sent to the government and external entities within the pre-established deadlines
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Sciences (preferably), Business Administration, or related areas.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Controllership or Accounting.
Experience in the Pharmaceutical industry will be a plus.
- Knowledge of Accounting, USGAAP, taxes
- Advanced knowledge of computer systems (Excel, Word, Power Point) and ERP's.
Knowledge of Protheus or TOTVS may be an advantage.
It is desirable to have participated in some implementation to review experience in parameterization definitions.
- Fluent English).
Spanish will be considered an asset
- Financial Planning and treasury notions are desirable, but not basic requirements.
