We're currently seeking full-stack developers to join our engineering team, with a strong emphasis on deep Word Press and modern Java Script experience.About the RoleWe're looking for a highly skilled Senior Word Press Developer to join our global engineering team. This position focuses on backend development — building and optimizing custom Word Press plugins, APIs, and integrations for large-scale, high-performance websites.The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of Word Press internals, experience working with enterprise clients, and a strong understanding of scalable, maintainable code.ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop custom Word Press plugins and themes from scratch using PHP, My SQL, and modern best practices.Implement advanced custom fields (ACF), custom post types, and taxonomies for structured data management.Optimize database queries and improve performance across complex Word Press sites (meta queries, caching, indexing).Integrate Word Press with third-party APIs and automation tools (REST, webhook systems, Make/Zapier, Algolia, etc.).Develop and maintain cron jobs, background tasks, and data synchronization scripts.Build and maintain Gutenberg blocks or React-based admin components when required.Ensure sites meet performance, accessibility, and SEO standards (Lighthouse, Core Web Vitals).Collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend, Dev Ops, QA, design) following Agile practices.Write clean, well-documented, and unit-tested code following OOP principles and Word Press coding standards.Minimum Qualifications5+ years of professional Word Press development experience, focusing on backend and custom plugin work.Strong proficiency in PHP, My SQL, HTML, CSS, and Java Script.Experience with Word Press hooks (actions & filters), custom queries, and optimization strategies.Proficient in ACF, CPT UI, Gutenberg, and Woo Commerce.Solid understanding of Word Press REST API, webhooks, and API integrations.Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.Experience with performance optimization, caching mechanisms, and scalable Word Press architectures.Advanced written and spoken English (international client communication required).Benefits- Yearly Office Allowance Budget- Macbook Purchase Support- Wellbeing SupportIf you think that you are a good fit for the position, please apply through Linked In.Only CVs that are in English will be accepted.Flatiron Software Co has a zero tolerance to discrimination policy.
