This is an individual contributor role for a deep technical expert who will define our ML architecture, solve our hardest technical challenges, and influence ML strategy across the company.What You'll DoDesign company-wide personalization architecture and strategySolve complex technical challenges (cold start, exploration/exploitation, real-time learning)Research and implement state-of-the-art ML techniquesDefine standards and patterns used across all ML teamsMentor senior engineers and review critical technical decisionsRepresent the company in the external ML communityWhat We're Looking For10+ years building ML systems, with deep personalization expertiseRecognized expert in ML systems (publications, patents, or industry impact)Experience architecting ML platforms serving billions of predictionsTrack record of 0?1 innovation in personalization systemsExpertise in multiple approaches (deep learning, bandits, causal ML, graph methods)Ability to influence without authority and drive consensusExceptional communication skills for technical and executive audiencesTechnical Expertise RequiredAdvanced ML architectures at scaleReal-time ML systems and edge deploymentOnline learning and adaptive systemsPrivacy-preserving personalizationEEO and Diversity CommitmentSince day one, we've been committed to having a diverse, inclusive team and culture.
