Senior Buyer

We are seeking a strategic and detail-orientedSenior Buyer of Raw Materialsto join our procurement team in the wire and cable industry.The candidate will be based in Sorocaba, Brazil, reporting to the Head of Raw Material Purchasing Latam, and be responsible to develop and implement strategies that shall assure the best total value for the raw materials categories of PrysmianBrasil.
The buyer needs to have minimum of 2 years of experience as SeniorCategoryBuyerleading negotiations with Local and Global Suppliersand participate with Supply Chain, R&D, Manufacturing, Finance and Quality to identify supply chain opportunities.Will Focus On The Following ActivitiesPlan and execute Source Strategy for Raw MaterialsNegotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to obtain the best value.Create and implement strategies to optimize costs and efficiency, ensuring that the purchased material meet the company's quality standard.Ensure the execution of the company's procurement policy and compliance - focus on process improvement and innovation.Evaluate supplier performance and ensure they meet contractual requirements and established quality standards.Drives year over year project savings.Deals with complex situation (supply chain focus, markets, risk allocation, senior level relationship, strategy development, manufacturing issues, shortages)Manages supplier performance, quality issues and non-conformity.Identifies, prioritizes, and communicates key issues and opportunities and is a champion for changes to provide the business a competitive cost advantage of the supply of raw material commodities.Provides expertise in the development and deployment of supply and risk management strategiesDevelop and use dashboard reports and manage complex data base to consolidate local Performance and KPI indicators.Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a professional with the following skills and motivations:Experience in managing Plastics commodities on industry environments such as Automotive, Industrial or Consumer.Bachelor ´s in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.Proficiency of English and SpanishOrganized and communicativeProficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.Work autonomously and collaboratively in a demanding and often ambiguous environment with attention to details and effective prioritizationStrong skills in work collaboratively and cross functionally, analytical capabilities including experience handling large and complex data sets.Prysmian , as an Equal Opportunity Employer, aims to attract and recruit individuals with diverse backgrounds, skills, and abilities.
