This role requires customer relationship management and advocacy for Canonical's technical assets.

Ideal candidates have a software affinity, strong communication skills, and a passion for technology, and will work with some of the best industry professionals.Public Cloud Project Managers lead accounts and provide insight for Canonical's key Tier 1 Enterprise Public Cloud clients.
They collaborate across teams from Software Engineering to Senior Executives.As a Public Cloud Project Manager, you will oversee multiple major projects simultaneously.
You will shape Statements of Work (SoW) with clients, manage project lifecycles, and ensure goals for both Canonical and clients are achieved.International travel may be required, varying in amount and duration based on project needs.Location: This role is remote within the Americas region.The role entails:Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and resourcesIdentifying and mitigating project risks and issuesMaintaining strong customer focus and working with stakeholders for successful outcomesConducting regular status meetings and reviews with clientsManaging delivery schedules of third-party contributionsHandling cross-organizational engineering requests outside existing contractsPromoting Canonical technologies to clientsWhat we are looking for:Proven experience in the IT Cloud industry as a project manager, Scrum Master, or similar roleDeep knowledge of Linux, open source, and public cloud environmentsSoftware engineering backgroundExcellent English communication skillsExperience managing remote, cross-cultural teams and clientsStrong negotiation and influencing abilitiesBachelor's degree in a STEM fieldProject Management Certification (PMP or equivalent)Agile Certification (Scrum Master or equivalent)Willingness to travel domestically and internationallyWhat we offer colleagues:Distributed work environment with biannual in-person team sprintsUSD 2,000 annual learning and development budgetAnnual pay reviews and performance bonusesAdditional benefits reflecting our values and local needsRecognition rewards, holiday leave, parental leaveWellness programs and travel opportunitiesAbout Canonical:Canonical is a pioneering open source tech company, publisher of Ubuntu, and a leader in AI, IoT, and cloud platforms.
