Location: BAL - GASPAR - CENTRALCity: GasparState: Santa Catarina (BR-SC)Country: Brazil (BR)Bunge has an exciting opportunity available for Sr BackEnd Engineer- Python.In this role, you will be part of a global team working on challenging, meaningful projects impacting core business activities.At Bunge, people don't just come here to work, they come here to grow – solving challenges that directly impact the world with a diverse team of thinkers and doers.Bunge offers a strong compensation and benefits package, generous paid time off program, flexible work arrangements, and opportunity to progress.Bunge is committed to operating and thriving in the digital world – creating world-class agile teams where teammates are empowered and encouraged to collaborate and test and learn to succeed.Overview:The Sr BackEnd Engineer will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable backend systems for Bunge's digital products.Essential Functions:Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable backend services and APIs using industry-standard frameworks.Write clean, well-documented, and testable code.Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define API requirements and specifications.Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge with team members.Troubleshoot and debug backend issues, and implement solutions to resolve them.Stay up-to-date with the latest backend technologies and best practices, and share knowledge with the team.Contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process and codebase.Ensure that backend systems are optimized for performance and scalability.Guide teammates on developing efficient and secure backend components.Establish and promote best practices, standards, and guidelines related to back-end engineering for Bunge technology products.Impact/Dimensions:Contributes to the development of short-term strategies within the department.Contributes to standards, best practices, and security measures implemented in own area.Works on projects and initiatives that have an impact on business on a domestic or international scale.Serves as a subject matter expert in own area within the organization.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):API response time and throughput.Code quality, as measured by code reviews and automated testing.System uptime and reliability.Ease of use and complexity of maintenance of developed components.Major Opportunities and Decisions:Applies technical expertise to analyze and solve problems without clear precedents.Identifies ways to apply functional knowledge and methodologies to solve complex challenges.Recommends process, product, or service improvements based on anticipated internal and external business challenges.Establishes standards, best practices, and guidelines for other developers for increased quality of delivery and compliance with internal policies.Management/Leadership:Manages operational plans.May participate with comparable influence in large projects and initiatives.Provides leadership to professionals and support staff.Contributes to short- to mid-term talent optimization plans to execute strategies within their job area.Guides delivery teams on best practices, standards, and approach to solving problems.Key Relationships, Stakeholders & Interfaces (External & Internal):Internal: Frontend Engineers, Product Managers, DevOps Engineers, Database Administrators, Architects, Product Owners.External: Technology Vendors, Cloud Providers.Knowledge and Technical Competencies:Strong proficiency in Python programming language and experience with leading frameworks like Django, Streamlit, and similar.Experience with building RESTful and SOAP APIs.Deep understanding of Sales Cloud and Service Cloud standard data models.Understanding of software development best practices and design patterns.Experience with testing frameworks and methodologies (including Unit Testing and Debugging, CI/CD pipeline with automated testing).Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Education/Experience:Bachelor's degree with 6 - 10 years of position-related experience, or equivalent combo of education and experience level.Has in-depth knowledge in own discipline and basic knowledge (know as reference) of related disciplines.Bunge is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Veterans/Disabled#J-18808-Ljbffr
