About this RoleWe're seeking an expert to reinforce our first line of defence (1LoD) FinCrime framework in Brazil, focusing on fraud prevention.You'll act as the core fraud risk expert, bringing senior expertise to secure our operations and design, implement, and oversee effective fraud controls across key local products.Designing and enhancing fraud prevention controls within Brazil's 1LoD framework, ensuring alignment with local regulatory expectations and licence requirementsPerforming detailed fraud risk assessments across products (PIX, credit, cards, and business accounts), identifying control gaps and recommending practical mitigationsLeading the development and implementation of fraud prevention strategies, including creating and tuning transaction monitoring rules, leveraging data-driven models, and defining robust response workflowsOverseeing major fraud incidents and investigations, supporting containment, recovery, and required regulatory reporting processesPartnering closely with Product and Data Science teams to improve automation, detection efficiency, and case triage logic, challenging the status quo for continuous improvementMonitoring and analysing fraud trends and key performance indicators (KPIs) to produce actionable insights and dashboards for local management and committeesStrengthening fraud governance, ensuring clear documentation of risks, controls, and residual exposures to demonstrate control maturity during regulatory engagementsKey ResponsibilitiesFraud Prevention Controls: Design and enhance fraud prevention controls within Brazil's 1LoD frameworkFraud Risk Assessments: Perform detailed fraud risk assessments across products and identify control gapsFraud Prevention Strategies: Lead the development and implementation of fraud prevention strategies, including transaction monitoring rules and data-driven modelsFraud Incidents: Oversee major fraud incidents and investigations, supporting containment and regulatory reporting processesCollaboration: Partner with Product and Data Science teams to improve automation and detection efficiencyFraud Governance: Strengthen fraud governance and ensure clear documentation of risks and controlsAbout YouWe're looking for a skilled professional with experience in fraud risk management, financial regulations, and data analysis.If you have a strong background in finance, law, or computer science, we encourage you to apply.Please note that we are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from diverse candidates.
