Job DescriptionOur team is crafting a cutting-edge virtual office platform for remote and hybrid teams.
This innovative platform combines persistent rooms, real-time presence, audio/video, chat, screen sharing, collaborative boards, and immersive spaces to foster connection, productivity, and team cohesion.The RoleWe're seeking a skilled Senior Desktop Developer to build and evolve our desktop client.
You'll design and implement a high-performance, stable, and well-documented app that integrates video/audio, real-time features, and collaborative tools.Secondary scope: assist in maintaining Android and iOS builds (feature parity, fixes, and releases).
CPU & GPU OptimizationsMinimizing CPU usage is a top priority by applying best practices such as:Effective state selection (BLoC/Riverpod/Provider)Minimizing rebuilds with const constructors and proper KeysReducing redundant layout/work through event debouncing/throttling and caching computed valuesOffloading heavy tasks from the UI thread using isolates and lazy JSON parsingImplementing frame scheduling discipline to prevent setState loopsAdditionally, we optimize for GPU performance by reducing overdraw/repaints and expensive effects, utilizing right-sized images, filterQuality settings, and controlling shader jank.Required Skills and QualificationsFluent English (spoken and written) is necessary for daily English standups and writing reports.
The ideal candidate has strong experience with Flutter and Dart building Desktop apps (preferably macOS), proven work reducing CPU/GPU usage in Flutter apps (ideally desktop/macOS) with measurable before/after results, solid grasp of architectural patterns (MVC/MVVM/Clean), DI, and state management (BLoC/Riverpod/Provider), hands-on with RESTful APIs, WebSockets/Streams, async/isolates, and robust error handling, Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Analytics) or equivalent, Microsoft Clarity (for UX/session insights in web-embedded contexts), and Sentry for error/performance monitoring, Git proficiency, code reviews, CI (e.g., GitHub Actions/GitLab CI), and Jira work logs/time tracking.BenefitsBy joining our team, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to a cutting-edge project, collaborate with talented professionals, and develop your skills in a dynamic environment.OthersOur team prioritizes open communication, continuous learning, and mutual growth.
